This is Singapore’s only dedicated hotline & Whatsapp counselling services for the LGBTQ+ community. These confidential services provide an active listening ear and emotional support for people who would like to share about issues troubling them, such as sexuality, identity, relationships, mental health and sexual health. We also provide information on LGBTQ+ community resources and LGBTQ-affirming professional resources.
As a queer-affirming counselling service based in Singapore with limited resources, we would like to prioritise our support for the following client groups:
Clients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer or gender-diverse (LGBTQ+); or
Clients facing LGBTQ-related issuess; and
Clients residing in Singapore & neighbouring countries (Malaysia, Indonesia & Brunei). Do add the Singapore dialling code +65 when contacting us from overseas.
We apologise for these services being unavailable outside the publicised hours, and wish to highlight that the Whatsapp service is only able to accept messsages, not Whatsapp voice or video calls, or SMS text messages.
The hotline service was established in 2006, and the Whatsapp service followed in 2013. Calls and chats are handled by a team of specially-trained LGBTQ+ and LGBTQ-affirming volunteers who will ensure the confidentiality of every call. The team is supported by experienced volunteers and staff, and everyone is expected to adhere to our Code of Ethics for volunteers.
Other similar services that we recommend include:
Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) - 24hr suicide prevention service
AWARE (Association of Women for Action & Research) - Women’s helpline
Brave Helpline - for LBTQ women
CARE Email Counselling

We aim to respond within 72 hours of receiving your email. If you need to talk to someone urgently, please consider calling our hotline during operating hours, or Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) 24h suicide prevention hotline at 1800-221-4444.
