Peh Yin Yee

Yin Yee first joined Oogachaga in 2008 as our inaugural Social Worker after graduating from the National University of Singapore. During that time, she organised community forums, youth events, and support groups. After leaving the organisation, she continued contributing as a volunteer counsellor, and in 2020, returned as a locum social worker, providing clinical supervision to counsellors and staff members. In October 2025, she was appointed to the role of Executive Director.

Beyond Oogachaga, Yin Yee has built an extensive career across the social services sector. She served as a Medical Social Worker at a major restructured hospital, providing psychosocial and emotional support for patients, including persons living with HIV. She has also held senior roles in children, youth, and family services, where she supervised and trained social workers, consulted on casework management, contributed to organisational strategic planning, and played a key role in professional staff development at the management level. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB), and also a member of the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW) Crisis Response Team.

Yin Yee adopts a collaborative leadership style that values openness, trust, and collective efforts. She is committed to creating safe and inclusive workplaces where individuals feel heard and valued despite differences, while striving for professional excellence in delivering inclusive community care.
